KOM League Class D Baseball

Current stories about the men who played minor league baseball in the Kansas-Oklahoma-Missouri league from 1946-52. Many went on to very long baseball careers while others were successes in other fields. This blog keeps up with them through what is called "The KOM League Flash Report."

Reunion photos on Memorex DVD-R 4.7 GB disk

Are you sending out any more pictures of the reunion? If so would you please put me on the list. Dale Hendricks.--Bremerton, Washington

After doing some editing of the photos taken at the KOM League reunion I can now offer approximately 900 photos on a disk. The photos cover all aspects of the reunion and anybody who attended the event was photographed, most likely a dozen times or so. Everything from the bull sessions to the Memorial service is on the disk. The visit to the Carthage underground is also included.

As with everything in life there is a fee involved. The photos are at a very high resolution of 10.2 megapixels. They will be sent in a special mailer. So, you are paying for the disk, packaging, postage and very "darn little" for the expert photography. Sure hope I don't get many orders for this wonderful reunion collectible. The more orders I get the harder I have to work.

If you want photographs of any of the photos on the disk all you have to do is take the disk to a photo shop and they'll make any size you want from those you select from the disk.

I promise, there will be nothing further said about this offer...ever. The price for receiving a copy of all the reunion photos taken by Yours Truly is $20.

Ed note:

I was doing my best to download photos on the internet but I "killed" a bunch of computers in the process. Sending the photos by disk seems to be the best option.

Future reunion offers!

Glad you guys had a great time again this year. Do you want to come back to Joplin in 2007? Let us know if you need any help.

Thanks,

John,

I just wanted to say thank you for choosing to eat dinner with us while you were here. We had a great time, hope that you and everyone else did too. Let us know if we can be of service again next year. Charlotte Forkner--Souper Sam's at Precious Moments

Memorial booklet

John, we brought 3 memorial books home with the idea of sending one to Mona Long, Paul Nichols and Frank Hungerford. Do we need to do that now or have you already done it?? Just let us know . I forwarded your article in the Columbian newspaper on to our boys and my brother. It was so well done. Hope you and Noel are rested and enjoying nice cool weather like we are. Thanks for the great weekend ----again! Bob and Joan Speake

Ed note:

There a few of those Memorial booklets remaining along with the order of service handout. The booklet and the handout lists the death of all the former KOM Leaguers that could be confirmed. If you want a booklet and the handout the price basically covers the postage. $3 will get it from my house to yours.

By the way, this is the last time this item will be mentioned.
